obsessed with the hierarchy of our kingdom

caught up with fetching dinner

constantly hunting for food

always preying on lovers

cynical about my environment

skeptical of other animals

whom arrive crowding the waterhole

a fierce reactor

with a bite before realization

of what i've now done

defending others in trouble

fiending for raw meat

raw interaction

raw resolution

a lioness

leisurely in my mind

a bear

fear me for bothered i am not

too easy to shut out

the world at season's edge

and hibernate the winter away

a bull

at any hint of disturbance

my heart explodes

and my body twitches adrenaline

and i can see nothing else
